Welcome to To the Moon (tothemoon.baby). This is a paid, gamified visibility / ranking board (pay-for-rank). You purchase “A Rocket” to begin and “Add Rocket Fuel” as needed to climb in rank. The rules below govern the board mechanics, ranking structures, and daily publication schedules. The game is simple: higher fuel totals sit closer to the moon. The highest fuel total each day lands and sits on the moon as the #1 ranking.
 
There is no API, no log-in, no revenue share, no ads.
 
1. The Daily Clock (Eastern Time)
 
The board operates on a strict, automated daily timeline.
    • Continuous Purchasing: You (or your friends, family, or fans) may buy Rocket Fuel at any time, 24/7.

    • Daily Cutoff for Rocket Sales / Fuel added to Rocket: 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time sharp (capped at 20 per day).

    • Board Publication: 12:00 p.m. (Noon) Eastern Time, daily.

 
Processing Rules When Buying a New Rocket:
 
    • To qualify for that day’s Noon board, both your payment and your completed new-listing form must be fully processed before the 9:00 a.m. cutoff.

    • Any transaction or form completed at or after 9:00 a.m. is queued for the following day’s Noon board. An order submitted at 9:01 a.m. will not be “squeezed in.”

 
2. Core Service: What You Are Buying
 
You are purchasing a high-visibility digital promotional slot (ie. a ranking) on this website with no ads, no revenue share, and no API calls to make.
 
    • The Listing: Successful placements feature your business name, a direct link, an industry category, a quick-popup headline, your logo, and a descriptive blurb. Top listings are rendered visually as rockets in the sky (which you can move around on your screen); other active listings populate as card directories beneath the sky.
       

    • No Performance Guarantees: You are buying real estate on the board. We do not sell or guarantee traffic, incoming clicks, conversions, sales, or search engine ranking boosts.

 
3. The Battle for landing on the Moon (#1 Rank)
 
The most fueled rocket lands on the Moon and commands the #1 position on the board until the next official noon update. Along their path to the moon rockets can also claim Top Rocket to the Depot and Space Station.
 
    • The Bidding Floor: All amounts are processed in whole U.S. Dollars (USD). The absolute minimum price to launch a new rocket is $5.00.

    • Overtaking #1: To claim the landing on the Seats, your listing’s total fuel must reach at least the current posted #1 rocket’s total plus a minimum increment of $5.00. (note: Depot is $5-200, Station is $250-400, Moon is unlimited)

    • No Ceiling: Larger fuel injections ($25, $100, $1,500+) are fully permitted. The $5.00 rule is the mandatory floor required to outbid, not a cap.

    • Sealed Intraday Bidding: Same-day purchases are strictly blind and sealed until publication. While you can see the final fuel totals from yesterday’s active board, you cannot see what competing buyers are paying throughout the morning. If you think your bid is too low, Add Rocket Fuel.

    • Tie-Breaker Rule: If multiple listings finish the daily cycle with the exact same fuel total, the listing that reached that specific dollar milestone first chronologically retains the higher board rank.

    • Moon | Space Station | Depot decay: A listing that has held the moon | station | depot for these consecutive days begin to decay:
    • 30 days loses 25% of its posted total
    • 40 days loses 40%
    • 50 days loses 50%
 
Percents are of the total that was on the ship when that clock started, then rounded down to a whole dollar. Minimum after a cut is $5.
 
What resets the clock
 
Adding enough fuel to beat any competitors while still holding the moon resets the 30-day clock. The new total is the new baseline. If you get knocked off, the clock stops. If you take the moon again later, a new 30 days starts.

 
4. New Rockets vs. Refueling
 
    • Launching a New Rocket: You complete a purchase and then fill out our intake form (Business name, URL, Category, Tagline, Blurb, Logo). No form, no rocket. We do not guess or generate listing details from billing names. **Rocket creation is capped daily at 20.

    • Adding Rocket Fuel: You (or your friends, family, or fans) buy fuel applied directly against an already existing, active listing at any time. No secondary form is required. The newly purchased dollar amount is instantly stacked onto that specific listing’s historical total at the next noon refresh.

    • No “Secret” Fueling: Do not use the New Rocket checkout pipeline to secretly add funds to someone else’s active listing. These transactions will be treated as invalid new listings or rejected outright and all payments are non-refundable.

 
5. Board Architecture & Display Limits
 
The public homepage sky is structured to hold a maximum of 25 Visual Rockets:
 
  • The Top 20: The 20 highest-funded listings across the entire site automatically secure visual rockets in the sky.
  • The Ground Slots (5): The remaining 5 visual rocket slots are reserved for lower-tier listings, filled dynamically via a daily calendar rotation.
  • Low Volume Exception: If there are 25 or fewer active listings site-wide, every single business will be granted a visual rocket.
  • Categories Separation: When any category reaches at least 25 rockets, it is split into it’s own Category Moon Board (while remaining in competition on the Main board)

Note: A baseline $5.00 rocket is never guaranteed a permanent seat in the upper sky. If out-fueled, it will gracefully rotate through the ground slots, standard text directory, and occasionally the Mentions ticker).
 
6. Editorial Standards and Content Control
 
The information published directly from your automated intake form includes:
 

1 . Business Name & Destination URL

2. Total Accumulated Fuel (Displayed on your Rocket)

3. Market Category

4. Short Tagline (Revealed on double-click on rocket/popup)

5. Descriptive Blurb (Up to three sentences max, displayed on detailed cards)

6. Add-Fuel Custom Link (Allowing users to publicly fund your rocket)

7. Optional Logo/Asset Image (Rendered to the best of our technical capability)

8. Sharing buttons to X, LinkedIn, and FB (to help you get more rocket fuel)

 
Content Rights: We reserve the absolute right to shorten text, adjust formatting, delay publication, or outright reject copy that is structurally too long for the board layout, misleading, or visually disruptive.
 
7. Blacklisted Content & Prohibitions
 
To preserve site integrity, we will immediately remove, ban, or refuse to publish any listing that connects to or promotes:
 
    • Unlawful activities or regulated contraband.

    • Fraudulent operations, financial scams, or deceptive schemes.

    • Malicious code, phishing vectors, or credential-harvesting pages.

    • Explicit adult, NSFW or sexual content.

    • Targeted harassment, hate speech, threats, or doxxing.

 
Administrative Finality: We retain full editorial discretion and are not required to provide extended justifications for content removal. Pursuant to our Terms of Service, all sales are strictly final and no refunds will be issued for listings terminated due to a violation of site rules or under any other ciscumstance.
